Bristol Family Cricket Day 2025 🏏

Join us for the third Bristol Family Cricket Day on Sunday, July 6th, 2025, a relaxed and fun event for the whole family, centered around village cricket.

Location 📌

Old Bristolians Cricket Ground in Failand, this day offers a fantastic opportunity for families and friends to connect and enjoy the outdoors.

Beyond the cricket, you can look forward to:

• 🍔🥪 Picnic (& hopefully BBQ) food.
• ☕🍻 A Bar serving a variety of drinks.
• 🏏🏸 Garden games & kwik cricket for all
• 🔍🧩 A family-friendly scavenger hunt.
• 🤗👭 A welcoming, sociable atmosphere.

Building on the success of last year, when the day brought together over a hundred people, we're excited for another enjoyable day.

From 11am. Exact timings and format will be confirmed once attendance numbers are clearer.

Equipment

We'll have shared cricket equipment available, so feel free to come and participate even if you've never played before or been in the wilderness for years. In fact, the day is perfectly suited to you. Nearly everyone involved hadn't played for years before recently starting again.

Why are we doing this event?

We started the Friendly Cricket Collective with a day like this. And we've been creating more of the cricket we wanted ever since. The sweet spot is when cricket brings the whole community together and offers as much for friends and families as it does for players.

Hopefully the day also helps more busy adults reconnect with the game after many years away.
