Fake European: Stand-up Comedy Show in Paris

Sunday 1. March at 19:30 - 22:00

Acting International, Paris

🎭 Wild and unapologetically hilarious stand-up comedy show about the absurdity of being a European — or in Dima's case, a Fake European — from a rising Ukrainian comedian who wasted the last 10 years in Berlin failing to become the real one.

⭐ “Deadpan Absurdity” – Stewart Lee, The Guardian
⭐ “Immensely likable stage presence and sharp storytelling” – SLEEC Reviews
⭐ “Did you write it yourself?” – Dima's mom

😂 It’s a fun, thought-provoking, and inspiring deep dive into the chaos of modern life. Dima weaves together the nightmare of integrating into German society, the trap of capitalism, and the universal struggle of cosplaying as a responsible adult. From self-improvement and interracial marriage to geopolitics and circumcision — no topic is too dark, too soon, or too personal.

Brace yourself, this show will exceed your expectations!

Dima is a Ukrainian stand-up comedian who has been living in Germany for over 10 years. But don’t worry – he hasn’t been there long enough to lose his sense of humor. His unique comedic style is a mix of absurdity, social commentary, and some allegedly inappropriate jokes. And yes, Watermelon is his real last name, simply translated into English.

Dima has performed in over 30 countries, including renowned locations like Gotham Comedy Club in New York, The Comedy Store in London, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Having lived in 3 different countries and visited over 40, Dima is no longer simply Ukrainian, but not quite European either. Stuck in this absurd cultural limbo, he finds laughter is his best coping mechanism.
