Fake European: English Stand-up Comedy in Dublin

Friday 27. March at 20:30 - 22:30

International Bar, Dublin

🎭 Wild and unapologetically hilarious stand-up comedy show about the absurdity of being Fake European from a rising Ukrainian comedian who wasted the last 10 years in Berlin failing to become the real one.

⭐ “Deadpan Absurdity” – Stewart Lee, The Guardian
⭐ “Immensely likable stage presence and sharp storytelling” – SLEEC Reviews
⭐ “Did you write it yourself?” – Dima's mom

🔥 Fresh from his debut comedy special, Dima returns with a brand-new hour of brutally honest, painfully relatable, and often inappropriate stand-up.

😂 It’s a masterclass in oversharing. Dima weaves together the decline of Western civilization, the everyday struggle of self-improvement, and the intricacies of interracial marriage. From geopolitics to circumcision - no topic is too dark, too soon, or too personal.

Brace yourself, this show will exceed your expectations!

Dima is a Ukrainian stand-up comedian who has been living in Germany for over 10 years. But don’t worry – he hasn’t been there long enough to lose his sense of humor. His unique comedic style is a mix of absurdity, social commentary, and some allegedly inappropriate jokes. And yes, Watermelon is his real last name, simply translated into English.

Dima has performed in over 30 countries, including renowned locations like Gotham Comedy Club in New York, The Comedy Store in London, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Having lived in 3 different countries and visited over 40, Dima is no longer simply Ukrainian, but not quite European either. Stuck in this absurd cultural limbo, he finds laughter is his best coping mechanism.
