Antwerp's FIRST All-Female Comedy Night...The F-Word!
Wednesday 3. December
Doors open at 7.30pm. Show starts at 8pm.
De Groene Waterman, Antwerpen
Presenting the first EVER female Comedy Night in Antwerp! Hosted by character-comedian, Kym Nelson who has hosted many sold out female comedy nights in Brussels (one even selling out within 48 hours and reported on in the Brussels Times!)
So, surely it's time to bring that success to Antwerp! She'll be joined by some of the funniest rising female comedians on the comedy circuit. With the comedy world known to be masculine and most well-known comedians being male, we thought it was about time for an all-female line-up. Expect to be entertained and inspired by some seriously funny women!
And yes, the men can watch - they are more than welcome and see the myth destroyed that women can't be funny!
Venue: De Groene Waterman Bookstore (in the Comedy Cellar)
Doors open: 7.30pm
Show starts: 8pm
The F-Word Line-Up:
Kym Nelson (English) @kym_comedyplayground
Kym is your MC for the evening. Described by a theatre critic as "a great and relatable storyteller," she has written and performed two solo shows and performs regularly at comedy clubs and festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe, and teaches comedy in the UK and Belgium, including how to bring humour into the workplace!
Jenny Gee (American) @jennigeebe
Jenny is a comedy queen from Los Angeles, CA. She has performed across the world in musical comedies and improv. Her unique stand-up style has won hearts across Europe and is a love letter to all who are quirky.
Helen Johnson (Scottish) @the_cougar_comic
Helen’s first gig was the day she was born. Her mother, the late, great Dr Johnson, who was studying medicine at the time, gathered an audience of 12 medical students for this performance! After that, Helen has not been shy about coming forward and is just as loud off stage as on.
Elisabeth ‘t Hart (Netherlands) @elisabehththart
Elisabeth often jokes about her unusual family, particularly her mother, who is a priest. With a deep respect for her mum’s profession, Elisabeth has one daily prayer: that her mother never hears any of her jokes.
Alyce Sevink (Netherlands) @alycedii
Alyce is a storyteller who often finds herself in bizarre situations. She discusses Brussels's eccentricity, her work on the film sets and her Dutch family, who make life in Brussels almost seem…normal!
Bibi Louis (Belgium) @bibi_louis
Bibi is a regular performer in both the Dutch and English scenes, and mixes hilarious stories with a dash of the surreal.
