"Small Stories" Theater Lab: cycle of theatrical practices

My name is Maria Yasinower — I’m an actress, director, and teacher. I’ve spent the last 20 years exploring art, a journey that has led me to where I am now: embracing myself and enjoying creativity as a way of being in the world.
Together with artist Yulia Litvin, we invite you into a space of exploration and play — a cycle of theatrical practices called “Small Stories” Theater Lab.
This course is for anyone who longs to express their creative potential, craves self-expression, and seeks connection with like-minded people. You don’t need any theater experience. We welcome those who want to feel themselves through creativity, give shape to inner experience, try something new, play, make mistakes, be surprised — and perhaps create their very first mini-performance.
What will we do?
We’ll look for ourselves — through movement, voice, tactile sensations, spontaneous images, sounds, and surrounding objects. We’ll learn to listen — to ourselves and each other. From this chaos of sensations and imagination, we’ll craft small stories full of life.
What will we explore?
– actor training to help you feel comfortable in a group
– object theater to awaken memory
– shadow theater to express fears and dreams
– clowning to connect with your inner child
– masks that reveal by concealing
– puppet theater to create a new and unusual version of yourself
– intuitive drawing and sculpting to develop associative thinking
What’s the result?
Everyone will take one or a hundred steps toward a very personal mini-performance — and share it with the group and an audience.
Group size: 8 participants
Duration: 2.5 hours per session
Price per session: €25 (cash payment on the day)
Time: Mondays, 19:00–21:30
