Satiiriline etendus "Rosa Luxemburg and I"

Kuidas tänase polükriisi põhjuseid ja valu edasiviivaks huumoriks pöörata?

Eestisse tuleb esmakordselt ülemaailmselt auhinnatud näitleja Amanda Douge oma satiirilise etendusega "Rosa Luxemburg and I”. Etendus ja sellele järgnev töötuba toimuvad 27. septembril kell 20:00-21:45 REaD raamatupoes, Põhjala tehas, Ankru 10, Tallinn.

Austraallasest näitleja, lavastaja, loovkirjutaja ja teadlane Amanda Douge on tuntud teleseriaalidest nagu “Unforgotten”, “Poirot”, “Snowy River: The McGregor Saga” jpm. Viimastel aastatel töötab ta kunstiliste sekkumiste ja kliimasiirde uurija ja lektorina Greenwichi ülikoolis Ühendkuningriigis.

Amanda performatiivne monoloogetendus “Rosa Luxemburg ja mina” kompab võimalusi poliitilise tegutsemisvõime käivitamiseks poeesia kaudu. Oma proosaluulelises näidendis harutab ta lahti meile pärandatud süsinikutaristud, puudutades teemasid nagu poliitökonoomia, kliimasotsioloogia, ökosotsialism ja ühiskondlik muutus.

Rosa Luxemburg oli 20. saj alguse üks mõjukamaid ühiskondliku liikumise ja sotsiaaldemokraatia eestvedajaid. Luxemburgi tuntakse enim tema kriitika poolest lõputu kapitali kuhjamise, imperialismi ja koloniaalse laienemise pihta. 

Etendusele järgneb Amanda poolt kureeritud töötuba, kus osalejad saavad peegeldada etendusel tekkinud mõtteid ja koguda inspiratsiooni tegutsemiseks. 

Pileteid saate soetada Fienta keskkonnast. Varajase teo pilet meeleolukale õhtule on 15 €. Alates 21. septembrist on aeglase teo pilet hinnaga 20 €.

How can we turn the causes of today’s multifaceted crisis and the pain it brings into humor that moves us forward?

Internationally acclaimed actress Amanda Douge is coming to Estonia for the first time with her satirical performance “Rosa Luxemburg and I.” The performance and the workshop that follows will take place on September 27 from 8:00 pm to 9:45 pm at the REaD bookstore, Põhjala Factory, Ankru 10, Tallinn.

Australian actress, director, screenwriter, and climate scholar Amanda Douge is known for her roles in television series such as Unforgotten, Poirot, Snowy River: The McGregor Saga, and others. In recent years, she has been working as a researcher and lecturer on artistic interventions and climate transition at the University of Greenwich in the United Kingdom.

Amanda’s performative monologue Rosa Luxemburg and I explores the possibilities of triggering political agency through poetry. In her prose-poetic play, she unravels the carbon infrastructures we have inherited, touching on topics such as political economy, climate sociology, ecosocialism, and social change.

Rosa Luxemburg was one of the most influential leaders of the social movement and social democracy in the early 20th century. Luxemburg is best known for her criticism of endless capital accumulation, imperialism, and colonial expansion. 

The performance will be followed by a workshop curated by Amanda, where participants can reflect on the ideas raised during the performance and gather inspiration for action.

• The REaD bookstore-café is an accessible space.

• Kiosk No. 3 will be open during the event, where you can purchase drinks and pastries.

• Those arriving by public transportation can take trams 1, 2, 5, and 6 or buses 32 and 72 to the Sirbi stop, which is a 5 min walk from REaD bookstore-cafe in Põhjala.

• For those arriving by bike, there is a bike rack in front of the building.

• If you’re driving, you can park in the courtyard (30 spaces; 3 hours free with a parking disc).
