Posh Isolation, founded in 2009, stands as a testament to the DIY ethos and creative camaraderie that define Copenhagen's experimental music scene. Co-founded by Christian Stadsgaard and Loke Rahbek, the label has evolved into a global powerhouse, championing the idea of experimentation at every stop.

At its core, Posh Isolation operates as more than just a label, it’s more of a creative endeavour fueled by trust and a shared passion for pushing artistic boundaries. Stadsgaard and Rahbek, while steering the ship, try and deconstruct hierarchial approaches in favor of fostering organic connections and creative freedom. Their music releases emerge from personal and artistic intuition, resulting in a diverse catalog that defies easy categorization.

Over the years, Posh Isolation has cultivated a roster of groundbreaking Scandinavian artists who have found a home for their boundary-pushing work within the collective. These artists have included the likes of Varg, Croatian Amor, Scandinavian Star, Schacke, Oqbqbo, Vanessa Amara and CTM.

Beyond music Posh has collaborated with brands such as Kappa and Soulland and has been at the heart of the modern experimental movement for many people all around the world.

When Posh began it was about stoking a scene in Copenhagen and encouraging creative people in the city to take part. Now that scene is established, Posh are still dedicated to their friends and fans at home, but their focus has shifted outwards. "It used to be from Copenhagen for Copenhagen," says Rahbek. "And now it's from Copenhagen for the world."
