Piano Day 2024 Estonia - Alexander Motovilov

Piano Day, an annual worldwide event founded by a group of like-minded people, takes place on the 88th day of the year because of the number of keys on the instrument being celebrated. Established in 2015, it is now well known across the globe. Every year it inspires special concerts, both onstage and online, as well as radio shows, podcasts, and playlists.

Pianist and composer Alexander Motovilov, along with his string duo, invites you to celebrate Piano Day 2024 with them. Alexander Motovilov is a composer and pianist based in Estonia, specializing in original contemporary classical and neoclassical music for piano and chamber ensembles. He has accumulated approximately 45,000,000 streams on platforms like Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and others. In his live performances, Alexander plays his piano pieces accompanied by a string duo, which includes violinist Anna Samsonova, and violist Daria Motovilova. In the fall of 2023, they had their first tour across cities in Estonia.

Alongside the already familiar original compositions by Alexander, the concert program will feature absolutely new works by him.
