Summer has finally arrived, so FOMO is bringing CANNES HEAT to the big screen: a week of scandalous, divisive, seductive films that shocked audiences, split critics and turned desire into cinema history.

PERSONAL SHOPPER is Olivier Assayas’ ghost story for the age of unread messages, luxury work and emotional drift. Kristen Stewart plays Maureen, an American living in Paris who works as a personal shopper for a celebrity while waiting for some sign from her dead twin brother.

The film moves between fashion houses, empty apartments, hotel rooms and phone screens, turning modern loneliness into something strange and unstable. Assayas doesn’t treat the supernatural as spectacle. He lets it seep into ordinary life through silence, waiting and digital anxiety. Few films have made texting feel this haunted.

When PERSONAL SHOPPER premiered at Cannes in 2016, the reaction was famously divided. Some critics booed it. Others immediately defended it as one of the festival’s strongest films. By the end of Cannes, Assayas had won Best Director, and the film’s reputation only grew from there. It’s now one of the key works of 2010s art cinema, and easily one of Stewart’s best performances.

FOOD AND DRINK POLICY: FOMO Cinema Lounge Bar opens 1 hour before the first screening of the day and closes at 02:00,.serving a wide selection of beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic refreshments including coffee and tea, as well as fresh hot popcorn! Outside food is allowed in the bar but not in the cinema. No alcohol from outside allowed. All guests are invited to arrive early and stay late!
