A city's history is written not only in its streets, buildings, and monuments. Sometimes, the places where time seems to stand still reveal the past most vividly. Narva's cemeteries are living chronicles of the city, preserving the stories of the people, eras, and events that shaped its destiny.

During this bicycle tour, you will discover the stories of prominent Narva families from the Tsarist era, explore how the city evolved through pivotal moments in history, and learn about the legacy left by numerous wars and armed conflicts. This journey is not about death—it is about memory and the traces of the past that continue to shape the city today.

The tour will be led by Alexey Ivanov - a journalist, translator, local fixer and lifelong resident of Narva. For more than twenty years, he has collaborated with media outlets across Estonia and Europe, covering Narva's history, public life, and social developments. Alexey has also worked as a guide at the Narva Art Residency (NART), the Narva Tourist Information Centre, and the Narva Museum. He is the creator of several original tours and unconventional routes that offer a fresh perspective on his hometown. Thanks to his journalistic background and deep knowledge of Narva, he brings the city's history to life through engaging stories and unexpected insights.
