Workshop series in English for adults and 15+ youths starting at Sally Studio Art School! First masterclass is led by textile designer and artist Zane Shumeiko who introduces the development of her author’s technique and invites you to combine delicate watercolours and graphic embroidered lines.
During a 7-week workshop (see schedule below), each participant will complete a series consisting of three artworks. All skill levels are welcome!

Workshops take place on Thursdays in Sally Stuudio at ARS Art Factory (Pärnu mnt 154 green courtyard building, Tallinn 11317) from 6pm to 7.30pm.

LANDSCAPE AND GRAPHIC EMBROIDERY, 9. & 16.09
Landscape painting outside or inside (depending on the weather), getting inspired from nature shapes, colours and textures. Zoom in-out nature motives. Adding graphic embroidery elements to the painting with different thickness materials and stitches. Exploring very fine and very thick line graphics with textile material. Embroidering by hand and/or sewing machine (optional).
LANDSCAPE AND COLOUR EMBROIDERY, 23. & 30.09
Landscape painting inside or outside (depending on the weather) paying attention to multicolour and or monochromatic approach. Adding embroidery with colour with different thickness materials and stitches, experiment with threads, fabrics+paper and water-soluble fabric. Embroidering by hand and/or sewing machine (optional).
LANDSCAPE AND 3D EMBROIDERY, 7. & 21.10
Landscape painting inside or outside (depending on the weather), while listening to sounds and/or music. Silence-noise in the landscape, adding 3- dimensional layers, rich textures, volume using various techniques. Embroidering by hand and/or sewing machine (optional).
FINAL SESSION, 28.10
Dedicated to feedback and finishing one’s favourite technique, to complete 3 works.
