Over the past decade, Estonian society and the world have undergone significant technological transformations—datafication, automated decision-making, the everyday integration of digital solutions, and the broader adoption of artificial intelligence. At the same time, our living environments have changed considerably, both globally due to climate change and in everyday life. The impact of technology on education and work, smart solutions in cities, homes, and the economy, the cultural diversification of living environments, ongoing socio-economic polarization, and emerging risks from various crises are just some of the key themes related to the evolving relationship between humans and their environment amid accelerating technological advancements.
