New start: Empowering Ukrainian women through mentoring

On May 18th, at 18.15, CAdFE, the business club for Francophones in Estonia, will be hosting a competition for Ukrainian women refugees who are interested in starting their own businesses in Estonia.

The event is being organised in collaboration with Hands for Ukraine, an Estonian NGO that helps Ukrainian women with children find housing in Estonia, and FICE (the Foreign Investor Council in Estonia).

The competition aims to identify a group of Ukrainian women who are fluent in
English and eager to start their own businesses in Estonia. Four projects will be presented. People attending the event will be able to vote for their favourite project The competition winner will receive a first prize, and all winners will be
offered to be mentored by members of the Chambers of Commerce.

Volunteers are needed to mentor the winners. This is an excellent opportunity for business community members to give back and help support a group of motivated women who are eager to succeed.

🍰 Halyna Proode's project is to create a business that produces plant-based cakes and desserts, without gluten and lactose, without refined sugar, without artificial food colours and without eggs.

💻 Anna Posdniakova's project is to create an influencer marketing agency, bringing together all the influencers in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to cooperate with them and connect them with companies looking for the best influencers.

🥓 Anna Lytvyn's project is to create a business of healthy snacks such as dried fruits, fruit rolls, dried meat and dried vegetables.

🔠 Olena Bezsmertna's project is to create an e-learning platform for the most widely used languages in the European Union - English, German, French as well as Estonian - which will not be limited in number of students and will be based on the Mnemo learning technique.

The event promises to be a fantastic opportunity to support entrepreneurship and help integrate Ukrainian women into Estonian society. It is an exciting initiative that reflects the values of the business community in Estonia, which is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion.

If you are interested in volunteering for the competition or if you need more information about the event, please contact the business club for Francophone in Estonia or Hands for Ukraine or FICE for more information
