All tickets have been sold out
Discover Estonia’s winter magic on an English-guided bog-shoe hike through a snowy bog and forest. In winter, the bog and surrounding forest transform into a peaceful winter wonderland with snow full of wild animal tracks. Bog-shoes turn into snowshoes, helping you move more easily over soft, deep snow. The hike takes place in Kõnnu Suursoo, located in Põhja-Kõrvemaa Nature Reserve, just a 1-hour drive from Tallinn.
We will meet at the RMK Järvi Pärnjärve campsite. From there, we’ll walk through the forest to the bog, already wearing bog-shoes. In the bog, we’ll move at a relaxed pace, giving you time to notice the beauty of the winter landscape, take photos and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We’ll also walk over frozen bog pools, an experience that’s only possible in winter. Along the way, we’ll talk about the bog and its unique nature. At the watching tower, we’ll take a break, enjoy beautiful views of the entire bog, and have a freshly assembled hiking semla bun with warm tea before heading back along the boardwalk to the starting point.
Transportation from Tallinn and back can be booked for an extra fee of 10€ per person. If transportation is needed, please check availability with the organizer before purchasing a ticket. Please send a message in WhatsApp +372 5307 2169 (Kätlin).
