What is the AEC Hackathon?
The AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) Hackathon was created in 2013 by built environment industry professionals to give those designing, building, and maintaining our built environment the opportunity to collaborate with new technologies and its developers and designers.

*Engineers.
*Real estate developers.
*General contractors.

What will take place at the AEC Hackathon?
The event will run over the course of a weekend, from Friday to Sunday. Over the course of these three days, teams are encouraged to collaborate to find solutions for the problems they face in their everyday work.
This involves collaborating with people from all construction sector related professions, experimenting with different technologies and solutions, working hard and having fun in the meantime! All of this, supported by a team of dedicated industry mentors!
In addition to the Friday through Sunday hackathon, there are partnership workshops that happen on Sunday.

Sponsored topic.
This year's Hackathons focus is on renovation. There are approximately 14,000 apartment buildings in Estonia that need to be renovated. If done using the traditional on-site method, it would take a little over 100 years! It's clear that we need to pick up the pace and come up with new solutions and technologies to help make this vision true.

Why participate?
It is a great opportunity to connect with those that understand the value of tech, are adventurous enough to experiment with it, and identify how best to implement solutions into daily practice.
AEC Hackathon is an intense, hands-on experience with expert mentoring, checkpoints, demo drills, and hard teamwork where you can implement your creativity and resourcefulness to the full extent. These are the essential parts in building working prototypes in just 48 hours that will become the change makers and drivers of the development of the digital construction industry.
In addition to solving industry problems, the event has become a great place to network, identify potential partners, deal flow, and talent.

About team formation.
We welcome all teams! You can register as an individual and with or without an idea. You can put together your team in the process or join someone else's team!

About pitching.
Each team must prepare a live 7-minute demo pitch at the finals happening on Sunday evening.

Supporters and organizers of the event.
The event is proudly organized by the Estonian Digital Construction Cluster together with HML Project management. The Hackathon is funded by the LIFE IP BuildEST project.
