Set in the beautiful Matsalu National Park, a peaceful environment in nature that supports one looking inwards. Three days to work with both the mind and the body through movement and meditation practices.
The movement sessions offer traditional forms of Qi Gong that allow us to tune into the body, to relax, to release tensions, to heal, and to re-energise. These practices deepen awareness to our self and the world as we live and move through life.
The meditation sessions will give us a chance to use basic meditation practices. We will also discuss why meditation is important and what it actually really is about. We will see how meditation practice can help us in everyday life and we will take time to practice so that we would have an idea how to meditate after we leave.
During the retreat silence will be the default mode. If you feel it will be more meaningful to talk in a mindful way and you have a willing partner, you are welcome to take a walk and talk. These few days are an environment to rest from all the chit chats and to really learn to notice oneself more. This is best done while being silent.
TEACHERS
Hsuan-Hsiu Hung has studied closely under a great Qi Gong master in Taiwan for over 10 years. It has been her practice of meditation and life. Through Qi Gong, working with the mind and cultivating the subtle energies in the body, she began to dance and explored the wonders and richness of movement practice. This led her to training professionally in Tel Aviv, New York, and London in modern, contemporary dance as well as somatics. In the last two years, she has lived in Estonia where she is currently offering interdisciplinary movement sessions that weave together somatic practice, Qi Gong and visual art. These sessions support the expressions of creativity, self-inquiry, self-care and the cultivation of wellbeing holistically.
Hsuan-Hsiu has been teaching Qi Gong and contemplative movement practice in Estonia, Austria, France, U.K., U.S.A., India and Singapore.

Mikk Tamme is a software developer in training. Previously he has been a business leader. He has also spent a decade in Buddhist centers and monasteries in Asia and in Europe. Having met some of the greatest teachers around, he learned from them and practised meditation in retreats.
He now lives in Estonia, works full time and focuses on figuring out how to most effectively put the amazing wisdom and methods from the Buddhist teachings of meditation into everyday practice. Mikk will share what he has understood about the practice of meditation as well as the view that can really make meditation very powerful.
