The Estonian Chamber of Commerce in Switzerland (ECCS), in cooperation with Estonia's e-Residency programme and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, is delighted to invite you to a unique milestone event: the first-ever gathering of Switzerland’s e-residents and founders operating Estonian companies on the 4th of November 2026 from 18.30-20.30 in Zürich.
Over the past decade, hundreds of Swiss entrepreneurs, consultants, investors, freelancers, and business owners have joined Estonia's pioneering e-Residency programme and become part of one of the world's most advanced digital business ecosystems. Alone in Switzerland we count nearly 1 000 Estonian e-residents.
Yet many have never met each other.
This event aims to bring Switzerland's e-Residency community together for the very first time.

Participation is free of charge for registered Estonian e-residents and members of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce in Switzerland (ECCS). Attendance by potential investors, innovation enthusiasts and other interested participants is subject to approval by the organisers.

e-Residency programme background & the speaker
Mats Kuuskemaa, Country Director for Germany, Poland, Austria and Switzerland will give a quick overview of Estonia’s e-Residency programme that allows founders worldwide to establish and build their EU-based entities 100% digitally and remotely. To date there are around 144,000 founders worldwide who have e-Residency, including around 1,000 Swiss nationals. e-Residents have brought a great deal of diversity to Estonia’s ecosystem with 50% of Estonian startups having e-Resident founders.
Estonia also holds the world record with fastest company establishment in just 15 minutes and 33 seconds. The country also boasts a vibrant startup ecosystem with 10 unicorn startups having originated from Estonia, including Skype, Wise and Bolt.
From a Swiss perspective, Estonia is one of the easiest locations within the EU where to establish a cross-border startup who can use Estonia as a comfortable holding or EU operations locations. In addition to low bureaucracy and active startup ecosystem, Estonia is also known for its tax system which has been ranked No. 1 in the International Tax Competitiveness Index for 12 years in a row. In order to support companies in their growth phase, Estonia only taxes businesses at the time dividends are paid out.
