In September, two influential shapers of modern architectural language, Louis Kahn and Alvar Aalto, will come together in Kuressaare. Both iconic architects also share a direct connection to Estonia: Kahn was born on Saaremaa Island, while Aalto designed his first private residence outside Finland in Estonia, in the Tähtvere district of Tartu.
