Armenian Embroidery and Fabric Stamping: Lecture and Hands-On Masterclass in Tartu
Sunday 15. March at 14:00 - 16:00
Armastuse saal, Tartu
How do traditional patterns travel through centuries and still remain alive today?
For this year’s Armenian Language Day, we have chosen to dedicate our event to Armenian embroidery as a visual language of fashion and a unique form of cultural expression embedded in Armenian traditional dress.
Join us for a cozy Armenian cultural afternoon dedicated to traditional embroidery and textile decoration. During this event, we will explore how Armenian national dress carries meaning through symbols, patterns, and craft techniques, and how these traditions continue to live in contemporary culture.
We are happy to host two special guests from Armenia, who are temporarily visiting and sharing their knowledge and experience in traditional craft and contemporary design.
