Embodied Consent, Empowered Boundaries
Saturday 24. May at 13:00 - 16:00
Workshop begins 13:30
Flo's cafe, Oxford
Developing great consent and boundaries skills is a life-long practice which is relevant to all areas of life. In this workshop, Rupert from the Art of Consent will lead us through a series of (optional) exercises and conversations to explore what is easy and what is difficult for each of us about noticing and expressing both our desires and boundaries. The exercises will be simple and inviting curiosity. They won’t involve any nudity or sexual touch and are impossible to ‘get wrong’.
The intention is to practice our consent and boundary skills when the stakes are low, so that we can use them with greater confidence when the stakes are high. By reducing the incidence of consent accidents and mistakes, and empowering ourselves and each other to speak up when needed, our community becomes safer, more supportive and more valuable for everyone.
The workshop will be held 13:30-16:00 at the Pavilion in Flo's Cafe. There are two ways to access the Pavilion:
1. Walk through the cafe and come out of the back door. On your left, you will see a black door to the Pavilion.
2. Walk the path around the cafe until you see a black wooden building marked The Pavilion.
