REJOICE Ensemble in Tartu
On 4 October, REJOICE Ensemble brings ECHOES OF THE NORTH to Tartu for the first time.
Estonian and Finnish folk traditions meet the timeless songs of The Beatles and ABBA, 20th-century American classics and contemporary vocal arrangements. These musical worlds may seem far apart at first, but their unexpected connection lies at the heart of ECHOES OF THE NORTH.
Familiar melodies and northern folk motifs are transformed through the distinctive sound of REJOICE intimate, expressive and immediate.
Most of the music is created entirely by the human voice, with piano joining the ensemble in selected pieces.
About REJOICE
REJOICE is a Tallinn-based vocal ensemble bringing together professional singers and musicians. The group is a laureate of international competitions and performs in Estonia and abroad.
REJOICE creates original concert programmes in which refined vocal artistry meets different musical traditions, fresh arrangements, emotional presence and a direct connection with the audience.
The concert lasts approximately 60 minutes with no intermission.
