〄 Το Oν Off Studio και ο συνθέτης και πολυοργανίστας Γιώργος Κατσάνος παρουσιάζουν τη σειρά performances – ηχητικών συναντήσεων Echoes.

Άλλοτε μόνος και άλλοτε μαζί με άλλους μουσικούς ή visual - sound artists ο Γιώργος Κατσάνος, επιδιώκει  μια διαλογιστική προσέγγιση της στιγμιαίας μουσικής  δημιουργίας / αυτοσχεδιασμού, που εστιάζει στην καθαρή αίσθηση του Ήχου.

Σε αυτή τη συνάντηση θα παρουσιάσει μια σόλο performance και ένα ντουέτο με την Νεφέλη Σταματογιαννοπούλου

🔸Ο Γιώργος Κατσάνος είναι πιανίστας, πολυοργανίστας και συνθέτης. Είναι αριστούχος απόφοιτος του  Berklee College of Music της Βοστώνης,πτυχιούχος κλασικού πιάνου και έχει επίσης σπουδάσει κλασικά κρουστά. Είναι δημιουργός του cinematic jazz group Εos  καθώς και του synth duo  Incirrina, με δισκογραφία στο γερμανικό label Cold Transmission και  πολυάριθμες εμφανίσεις σε συναυλίες και Φεστιβάλ  στην Ελλάδα και την Ευρώπη. Έχει κυκλοφορήσει τέσσερα  προσωπικά άλμπουμ - ''Blur'' (2007),''Rusty Memories''(2012),“Cocoon”(2017),“Yuki” (2024). Έχει συμπράξει καλλιτεχνικά και δισκογραφικά με τους Λένα Πλάτωνος, Φοίβο Δεληβοριά, Νότη Μαυρουδή, Λουδοβίκο των Ανωγείων, Θάνο Ανεστόπουλο. Έχει συνθέσει μουσική για θεατρικές παραστάσεις και σινεμά, με πιο σημαντικά τα ντοκιμαντέρ του  Μένιου Καραγιάννη «Αρίκα Α», «33,333» και τα βραβευμένα «Πατρίδα  από μάρμαρο» και “The Music Of Things” (Η Μουσική των πραγμάτων),το οποίο έλαβε βραβείο  Διεθνούς Ομοσπονδίας Κριτικών Κινηματογράφου FIPRESCI και Bραβείο ΕΡΤ στο 22ο Φεστιβάλ Ντοκιμαντέρ Θεσσαλονίκης 2020. Διδάσκει σύγχρονο πιάνο και ear training και οργανώνει μουσικά σύνολα στο Αθηναϊκό Ωδείο.

🔸Η Νεφέλη Σταματογιαννοπούλου είναι συνθέτρια, περφόρμερ και αυτοσχεδιάστρια με βάση την Αθήνα και ιδρύτρια του Ov Off studio. Παίζει κοντραμπάσο, ηλεκτρικό μπάσο, ηλεκτρονικά όργανα και πιάνο, ενώ παράλληλα διερευνά τις δυνατότητες και τα όρια της φωνής. Βραβευμένη για το έργο της ως μουσικός και συνθέτρια, γράφει συνθέσεις και για πολυάριθμες παραστάσεις, θεατρικά έργα και ταινίες, ενώ έχει εργαστεί και ως σκηνοθέτρια σε διάφορα πρότζεκτ. Έχει αναπτύξει ένα προσωπικό σύστημα σημειογραφίας και δημιουργίας, διερευνώντας τη σχέση μεταξύ μουσικής σύνθεσης, κίνησης και δραματουργίας του ήχου και είναι, μεταξύ άλλων, συνθέτρια και ιδρύτρια της ερευνητικής καλλιτεχνικής ομάδας Ov Off, με έργα όπως τα Quintet ’84, The Glass Between και αϊζο-the bird, καθώς και του μουσικού σχήματος Spooky Redrum. Σπούδασε στο Τμήμα Σύνθεσης, με ειδίκευση στις Παραστατικές Τέχνες και στη συνέχεια στο μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα «Σύνθεση για τον Κινηματογράφο, το Θέατρο και τις Παραστατικές Τέχνες» του Ιονίου Πανεπιστημίου και για πολλά χρόνια, συμμετείχε σε σεμινάρια και εργαστήρια με επίκεντρο το σωματικό θέατρο, τη φωνή και τη σύνθεση υπό την καθοδήγηση του Ινστιτούτου Γκροτόφσκι (Πολωνία), του θεάτρου Song of the Goat (Πολωνία), της L.I.S.P.A. (Γερμανία) και του Kristin Linklater Voice Centre (Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο). Είναι υποψήφια διδάκτωρ στο Τμήμα Μουσικών Σπουδών του Ιονίου Πανεπιστημίου. Διδάσκει σε σεμινάρια και εργαστήρια στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό, ενώ έχει επίσης διδάξει ως προσκεκλημένη λέκτορας στο Ιόνιο Πανεπιστήμιο.

〄 Ov Off Studio and composer and multi-instrumentalist George Katsanos present Echoes, a series of performances and sonic encounters.

Sometimes performing solo and sometimes alongside other musicians or visual and sound artists, George Katsanos seeks a meditative approach to spontaneous music-making and improvisation, focusing on the pure sensation of Sound.

For this encounter, he will present a solo performance and a duo with Nefeli Stamatogiannopoulou.

🔸 George Katsanos is a pianist, multi-instrumentalist and composer. He graduated with honours from Berklee College of Music in Boston, holds a degree in classical piano and has also studied classical percussion. He is the creator of the cinematic jazz group Eos and the synth duo Incirrina, which has released music on the German label Cold Transmission. Both projects have performed extensively at concerts and festivals in Greece and across Europe. He has released four solo albums: Blur (2007), Rusty Memories (2012), Cocoon (2017) and Yuki (2024). His artistic and recording collaborations include Lena Platonos, Foivos Delivorias, Notis Mavroudis, Loudovikos ton Anogeion and Thanos Anestopoulos. He has composed music for theatre productions and films, most notably for Menios Karagiannis's documentaries Arika A, 33,333, the award-winning Homeland of Marble and The Music of Things. The latter received the FIPRESCI Prize from the International Federation of Film Critics and the ERT Award at the 22nd Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in 2020. He teaches contemporary piano and ear training and directs music ensembles at the Athens Conservatoire.

🔸 Nefeli Stamatogiannopoulou is a composer, performance artist and improviser based in Athens and the founder of Ov Off Studio. She plays double bass, electric bass, electronic instruments and piano, while also exploring the possibilities and limits of the voice. Awarded for her work as a musician and composer, she has written compositions for numerous performances, theatre productions and films, and has also worked as a director on various projects. She has developed a personal system of notation and creation, exploring the relationship between musical composition, movement and sound dramaturgy. Among other projects, she is the composer and founder of the research-based artistic group Ov Off, whose works include Quintet ’84, The Glass Between and αϊζο-the bird, as well as the music group Spooky Redrum. She studied Composition, specializing in the Performing Arts, and subsequently completed postgraduate studies in Composition for Cinema, Theatre and the Performing Arts at the Ionian University. She participated in seminars and workshops of physical theatre, voice and composition at the Grotowski Institute (Poland), Song of the Goat Theatre (Poland), L.I.S.P.A. (Germany) and the Kristin Linklater Voice Centre (United Kingdom). She is currently a PhD candidate at the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University. She teaches seminars and workshops in Greece and abroad and has also taught as a guest lecturer at the Ionian University.
