Transform fabric into fluid, timeless silhouettes. Experience linen in a new way. Learn draping techniques to turn into desirable timeless garments.
Step into a hands-on draping experience where structure meets spontaneity. Katarina has extensive draping and design experience and will be sharing some of her own, developed techniques. The aim to to play and explore, yet apply few limitations to achieve strong outcomes.
What you’ll explore
Foundational draping principles through a live demonstration
A showcase of 3–4 distinctive draping techniques
How to translate fabric into form using minimal intervention
Working with 1.5 to 3 meters of fabric, you’ll design and drape either a top or a dress guided by a refined set of constraints:
→ Maximum two seams
→ Strategic cut-ins
→ No added panels
These intentional limits push creativity while ensuring a clean, elevated outcome.
The focus
Shape a strong silhouette, define key drape elements, and construct with precision using French seams. Garments will be basted and main seams sewn during the session, finishing techniques shown to complete at own pace.
Creative freedom, expertly guided.
While the approach is open and exploratory, you’ll be supported within a thoughtfully controlled framework—designed to help you achieve a polished, professional result.
