On December 5th, a mini-festival and joint event will take place within the walls of Hall – CU Showcase x kontrast.

culture unseen brings a brand-new concert series to the stage, showcasing the freshest sounds from Estonia and beyond. CU Showcase is a space for discoveries and surprises – every evening is filled with raw live energy and moments that won’t repeat.

For the first time, two artists from Italy are coming to Tallinn – Noklan & Rome in Reverse.

Come and experience a visual and sonic journey that will engage with all your senses. Contribute to the development of the Estonian music scene today.

kontrast is once again ready to surprise dancers and partygoers. As usual, expect an energetic night full of variations and eclecticism. On three stages, more than 15 artists will perform.

For the first time, we’re bringing new and exciting Estonian artists to the stage, for whom this will be their first public performance.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Noklan (IT)

Noklan is a musician and producer from Naples. His music is a surprising fusion of genres, blending elements of rock, alternative, house, techno, ambient, and synthwave to create a unique and captivating sound. His tracks are a journey through
soundscapes, where immersive melodies and hypnotic, obsessive rhythms merge with imagery. One could describe it as "music for travel."

In addition to his solo career, which began in 2023 with the album A Large Space In A Small Room, mixed and mastered by Francesco Giuliano at Innerwood Music Mansion and released by PHONOTYPE RECORD, Noklan has collaborated with a number of other artists and producers, bringing projects to life such as Fragile, Vena, Static Wave Form, as well as working with Native Instruments in Berlin and writing and producing
soundtracks for short films.

Rome in Reverse (IT)

Rome in Reverse, the solo project of Italian-born, Copenhagen-based artist Antonella Pacifico, has been a force in the electronic music scene since her debut in 2014. With a sound that fuses club dance music, trance-techno, ambient dub, and trip-hop, she creates an immersive sonic experience with emotive vocals and fluid up/downtempo beats. Her breakthrough came with the release of her first full-length album, Loop and Reverse
(2015), which garnered the attention of Luxembourg-based producer Victor Ferreira, aka Sun Glitters. This collaboration sparked two major releases in 2016—Northern Lights EP
and Sun in Reverse (split EP)—and led to a European tour with Arms & Sleepers and Sun Glitters, cementing her reputation on the international stage.

2018 saw the release of her second full-length album, The Prestige, and a standout per-formance at Aarhus Recession Festival, where her atmospheric sound captivated audiences. Growing up in southern Italy and Tuscany, with formative years spent in Rome, Pacifico is a self-taught musician who infuses her music with the richness of her cultural heritage. Beyond Eeurope, Pacifico has consistently toured across Asia, performing in Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam. She’s played in some of the top 50 clubs in the Asian region, where she has built a dedicated and passionate audience. Her performances are a blend of dynamic energy and visual art, turning every set into a full sensory experience.

Her recent single, "Kajal" featured on the US label future archive, continues to push her
sound forward and keeping her trajectory strong in shaping the future of electronic music.

Gusted (US/Berlin)

Chicago-born and Berlin-based Gusted is one of dance music’s most exciting young names, pushing fast, euphoric, groove-heavy sounds across clubs and festivals in the US and Europe. His sets run between 142–155 BPM, weaving trance, hardgroove, throwback edits, and bouncy rave cuts into high-energy, vocal-driven journeys that light up dance floors.

After breaking through with his viral hit “Jet Plane” (50M+ streams), Gusted has released music on Clean Energy, Polydor, and Ultra Records, earning support from names like Pegassi, Bad Boombox, Mischluft, Mija, and t e s t p r e s s. Having played iconic stages such as Brooklyn Mirage (NYC), Else (Berlin), and Mondo Disko (Madrid), he’s now bringing his signature blend of tech and trance to new audiences across Europe.

At just 22 years old, Gusted is defining his lane — undeniable dance music, somewhere between serious and unserious, heady and fun.

Merimell

She is what you could call the first lady of Techno in Estonia. Initially discovered after winning a local DJ competition, Merimell quickly made a name for herself both in her home country as well as abroad with her high energy and precision sets of techno, industrial, rave and beyond.

Next she began producing her own music which landed on labels such as Loco Dice's Desolat, DJ Haus' label Unknown to the Unknown, Ismus, Killekill and on the latest Moments In Time compilation. Same as her productions, Merimell's recent DJ sets have a driving dark industrial sound ready for any dance floor.

Merimell has played in various clubs all over the world like Tresos, TANK, Module, Griessmuehle, Nouveau Casino, HALL, One One and many more. Currently, Merimell focuses mainly on music production, as well as promoting and developing “Machine Nation” her event series and is on a mission to conquer every Techno club in Europe.

Punch

Punch is an Estonian veteran DJ, record collector, radio host & promoter, active in the local music scene since mid. 90’s and specialising in all shapes of techno. Being a long time vinyl junkie he has a decent record collection (approx. 5k records). Based on deep knowledge and passion, his DJ sets are always groovy, tasty and eclectic. Punch is also well known for his warm-up DJ sets and you can always expect well cooked mixture of old & new school sounds with a hint of personal secret ingredients.

Rästas

In recent years, Rästas has established himself as one of Estonia's most true-blooded techno DJ and producer. Elegantly balancing the type of hypnotic deepness that stems from living amidst a nation of bogs with the pace and soul of urbanization. His transformation from the humble clubgoer to an artist has shaped a distinctive ethos in his artistic output - both his self-produced music and DJ sets focus on ever-increasing energy and tension with timely releases. This constant forward-tugging energy combined with various hypnotic components gives him a distinct touch that has already been recognized and supported by the likes of SPFDJ, Chlär, Alarico, U.R.Trax and Vel.
