Collaboration Masterclass: Who Holds the Safety Rope? – The Balance of Cooperation Between NGOs and the Public Sector
Wednesday 12. November at 18:00 - 20:30
Virsotne, kāpšanas zāle, Rīga
BritCham Latvia invites you to a business afterhour masterclass led by Dace Cīrule – to be held in a climbing hall "Virsotne" on 12 November 6pm.
To illustrate how cooperation helps drive success, the event will begin with tasks performed by Dace’s climbing team under the guidance of a coach, on a 6-metre-high climbing wall.
Collaboration, not competition, will be the key to completing the challenges. Using climbing as a metaphor, we will follow Dace’s team as they build trust, balance, and a safe space to take the next step upwards.
The achievements of the climbing team will serve as the basis for a discussion moderated by Edgars Raginskis, involving participants and guests, on the importance and role of cooperation in today’s changing environment. What kind of cooperation do we wish to foster between policymakers and NGOs? Who really holds the safety rope? And who can we actually trust – the rope or the person holding it?
On the wall and in the conversation – representatives of policymakers:
• Kaspars Melnis, Minister for Climate and Energy
• Ints Dālderis, Adviser to the Prime Minister on EU Funds
• Kaspars Briškens, Chair of the Saeima Committee on Economic, Agricultural, Environmental and Regional Policy
The masterclass has been designed for entrepreneurs, investors, public administration and NGO representatives, as well as for anyone who believes in responsible cooperation and a strong civil society.
The masterclass will provide:
• inspiration and practical insights on how to build balance and trust;
• a chance to witness the development of physical and emotional teamwork in real time;
• renewed energy and inspiration for leadership based on trust and shared goals;
• networking and conversation in an active, informal atmosphere.
All proceeds from the event participation fee will be donated to support the Allaži Children and Family Support Centre, part of the BritCham Charity Fund project.
Participation fee: €30
