Clear the Clutter, Clear Your Mind: Helping Yourself and Your Clients Find Calm

Friday 21. November at 18:30 - 21:00

Underhill Centre, Southampton

Ever notice how a cluttered environment can make you feel stressed, distracted, or overwhelmed? You’re not alone—and your clients feel it too. In this practical and uplifting session, Collette will explore how decluttering physical spaces can create mental clarity, reduce overwhelm, and bring a genuine sense of calm. You’ll gain simple, realistic strategies to help your clients declutter their spaces—and pick up practical tips to create more peace in your own life. Because when our environments feel lighter, so do we.

During the session, you’ll:

  • Understand how clutter impacts mental and emotional wellbeing, and why it’s rarely just about “too much stuff.”

  • Learn how clutter can reflect what’s happening internally for a client, and how a supportive environment can aid emotional healing.

  • Gain practical guidance on talking with clients about their relationship with their space—approaching the topic gently, and helping them make meaningful changes that last.

Collette’s approach is hands-on, practical, and always grounded in kindness and support. Decluttering isn’t just about the items themselves—it’s about the emotions and memories tied to them, and the sense of freedom that comes from living in a space that truly works. With over 10 years of experience helping clients reclaim their spaces, Collette brings a practical, down-to-earth perspective, along with actionable tips that can make the process lighter, easier, and transformative. She also repurposes items wherever possible, giving them new life or passing them on to community groups.

This evening will also provide fantastic networking opportunities—connect with fellow attendees, share ideas, and exchange experiences—alongside Collette’s insightful talk.
