C[U]ORE
What lies at the core of a habitable unit that is being gutted out? What remains when its insides are removed, when raw materials surface, when its inner membrane is destroyed? What lies at the c(u)ore of a human body? What happens to the surrounding tissues of the heart, pericardium and diaphragm, when it is under attack? This has been a year of fire for the heart -in Chinese philosophy- and a year of fire in many parts of the world, a year when the heart and its allies have been wrenched, stretched, overworked.
Therefore we ask: What is happening now at the C[U]ORE ?
We invite you to a site-responsive installation-performance initiated by media artist/architect Artemis Papageorgiou and performer Sofia Pouchtou, inside a home that is being demolished -a worksite- a transitional space that can be experienced for a few days, before regeneration begins.
