The event will take place on the 23rd of January, 2026 and includes a procession through the Old Town, traditional Scottish food and other delicacies of the Enlightenment period, fine whisky, live music, bagpipes, kilts, speeches, and will end with a Cèilidh preformed by the Scottish Band Rerr Terr.
In the real Burns’ way, there will also be an opportunity to give back to the community with a raffle to raise funds for the BECC charity partners.

A big-time Burns Night calls from the piper to welcome guests. Following this, we will follow the Piper and Master Of Ceremonies from Kennedy’s to Maikrahv. As they arrive; the audience should find their seats: the piper plays until the high table is seated, at which point a round of applause is due for the piper.

Guests should stand to welcome the dinner’s star attraction, an extra-large haggis called a ‘Chieftain’ which should be delivered on a silver platter by a procession comprising the chef, the piper, and the person who will address the Haggis (in this case the Master Of Ceremonies). During the procession, guests clap in time to the music until the Haggis reaches its destination at the table. The music stops, and everyone is seated in anticipation of the address, a poem to the Haggis. On cue, the Master Of Ceremonies cuts the Chieftain and then leads a toast to the Haggis + 2nd toast.
