In this centenary year of AA Millne's first Winnie-the-Pooh book, written at Cotchford Farm in Ashdown Forest , Kevin Last has written three fascinating books about Cotchford, the last of which tells of Brian Jones's dramatic demise in suspicious circumstances in his swimming pool in July of 1969 at the age of 27 - Brian bought Cotchford Farm as his Sussex retreat as he was a great fan of Winnie-the-Pooh. However, as much as he was good looking, extremely intelligent and incredibly gifted he was also an extremely unlikeable fellow. A very callous man, he left behind a trail of broken hearted high profile women and at least five children. His considerable weakness for drink and drugs lead to him being exploited by those around him, in particular his East End builder who was under suspicion for Jones's death. A gripping tale!
