Chris grew up surrounded by the cases that would later become part of modern paranormal history. More importantly, he went on to become an investigator in his own right, working alongside Ed and Lorraine and spending decades researching hauntings, unexplained phenomena and the nature of human consciousness.
Now, for one night in England's most haunted city York, Chris brings those experiences to the distinctive and atmospheric surroundings of Black Swan Inn.

About Chris McKinnell
Chris McKinnell is the grandson of Ed and Lorraine Warren and Director of the Warren Legacy Foundation for Paranormal Research.
His involvement with paranormal investigation stretches back more than four decades and has taken him across six continents and thousands of cases.
Unlike someone simply recounting stories about the Warrens, Chris was there.
He worked directly with his grandparents, participated in major investigations and witnessed first-hand events that have since become part of paranormal folklore.
This evening provides a rare opportunity to hear those stories direct from the source.
The venue
The Black Swan Inn is one of York’s most atmospheric historic pubs, standing on Peasholme Green in the heart of the city.
The building dates back to the 15th century, when it began life as a private merchant’s house. Over the centuries it has been altered and extended, but much of its historic character remains, including timber features, panelled rooms, large fireplaces and interiors that feel perfectly suited to an evening of strange stories and paranormal history.
The Black Swan is also well known for its long association with ghost stories. Reported apparitions include a mysterious man in a bowler hat, a young woman seen by the fire, a supposed highwayman known as Jack, a Victorian child and even a ghostly black cat. Stories of unexplained footsteps, disappearing figures and unusual activity have become part of the pub’s folklore, making it an especially fitting setting for An Evening with Chris McKinnell.
