The workshop invites participants to create humidity-responsive shape-changing material systems from well-known natural material - wood veneer.

The bio-inspired design artefacts can be eventually applied in various contexts, scales and resolutions (soft robotics, architecture, design).

However, the principal aim of the workshop is to develop a technical understanding of the materials themselves and introduce soft robotic methods to create environmentally active artefacts.
