Artist talk: How To Make the Impossible Become Trivial?

Saturday 10. January at 16:00 - 17:00

Heldeke! Tasting Room and Bottle Shop, Volta tänav, Tallinn, Estonia

Sylvain Potiron will present a first test version of a new conference talk at Heldeke Bottle Shop. This is not a finished keynote, but an open rehearsal — a work-in-progress where ideas are still being shaped, tested, and adjusted in real time, with the audience playing an active role.

The talk revolves around a simple but challenging question:
How do you make something that feels impossible become trivial?

Sylvain explores this through his personal journey from France to Estonia, including experiences such as unicycling across Europe and adapting to new countries, languages, and environments. However, the focus goes well beyond the adventure itself. The core of the talk revolves around process: how to collect and interpret information, how to read people and situations, how to navigate uncertainty, and how to think beyond obvious solutions when standard approaches fail. The goal is to extract practical insights that are transferable — not only to projects or businesses, but also to everyday decision-making and long-term direction.

Attendees should expect a first version. Some parts may be rough, some ideas unfinished, and some transitions still experimental. The aim of this session is not to impress, but to learn. Feedback is an essential part of the process — what feels clear, what doesn’t, and what deserves to be developed further.
