Neighbourhood of Oslo Fjordskole, Bekkelaget
The wind is one of the major form producing forces for trees (the trunk and branches, not so much the roots). The winds are the eyes of the tree branches that allow them to grow without touching each other. The wind does not only give form to the body of trees; the trees also use the wind to do what they love best: making rhythm (mostly with their leaves or pine needles) and moving to the music of the winds (mostly with their branches).
Arjen Mulder is a writer and speculative biologist based in Amsterdam, Holland. He published some 15 books, most recently The World According to Plants. You can find translations of his work in English on academia.edu.
This event will take place outdoors, in the neighbourhood of Oslo Fjordskole, Bekkelaget. We recommend warm clothing and dressing according to weather conditions.
A map with details for attendance will be sent via email in advance of the event.
