After an overwhelming response to MADSNESS, I'm extending the retrospective with another week of films, exploring the performances, directors and collaborations that helped turn Mikkelsen from Denmark's best-kept secret into one of the defining screen actors of his generation.
He's worked with Nicolas Winding Refn, Thomas Vinterberg, Susanne Bier, Anders Thomas Jensen and some of the biggest directors in international cinema, balancing arthouse cinema with global blockbusters.
This time we're digging a little deeper. We'll revisit some familiar faces, discover a few hidden gems and trace the remarkable second act of a career that's only become more adventurous with time.

By this point in MADSNESS we've had gangster Mads, sad Mads, cannibal Mads, fat Mads, ripped Mads and prestige Mads. ANOTHER ROUND gives us drunk Mads.
Four middle-aged teachers decide to test a theory that humans function better with a small amount of alcohol permanently in their bloodstream. The results begin encouragingly.
What follows is funny, uncomfortable, chaotic and unexpectedly moving in almost equal measure as the experiment gradually expands beyond professional curiosity and into something much more personal.
Reuniting Mads Mikkelsen with Thomas Vinterberg following THE HUNT, ANOTHER ROUND became one of the defining films of the decade, winning the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film and introducing audiences around the world to one of Mads' warmest and most human performances.
Like much of the best Danish cinema, ANOTHER ROUND manages to be about several things at once: friendship, ageing, routine, regret and the terrifying possibility that your life may have quietly become smaller than you intended it to be.
Funny, melancholic and deeply humane, ANOTHER ROUND feels like the perfect closing chapter to the Mads story.
And yes, the final scene really is as good as everyone says it is.
FOOD AND DRINK POLICY: FOMO Cinema Lounge Bar opens 1 hour before the first screening of the day and closes at 02:00, serving a wide selection of beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic refreshments including coffee and tea, as well as fresh hot popcorn! Outside food is allowed in the bar but not in the cinema. No alcohol from outside allowed. All guests are invited to arrive early and stay late!
