Alice's Curious Tea Party

I have a birthday again this year.

This time I thought — why not hand the studio over to Wonderland for a few hours, and see who turns up curious enough to join me.

For one day, Mauna Stuudio will be full of tea, cake, and a number of things that don't quite make sense on purpose.

Life is too serious, we are way too efficient and practical. My antidote for monotony and rules is this event.

There's a desk where you'll be issued a new name for the evening, stamped and official, and reverted back to your own by the end. There's a box of unclaimed lost property that may or may not be yours. There's a drink labeled only "3." Write a letter to something impossible. Answer wonderfully absurd questions. Decorate, experiment, discover...

Nothing here is one big group activity. You wander. You find a table, you sit with it for a while, you move on when you're curious about something else. I'll pull everyone together a few times for something short and slightly absurd, but mostly this day belongs to you and your own pace.

No artistic experience needed. No costume required, though one small curious detail — a pin, a strange sock, an odd hat — wouldn't hurt.

Your ticket (55eur) includes:

— all materials

— tea, snack, sweet and drinks (yes, a glass of bubbly too)

— a table of curious objects, free to whoever claims them

— five hours where nobody needs you to be sensible

— so many activities that are a bit quirky and pretty useless , therefore exhilarating and freeing.

If you've ever thought grown-ups don't get enough excuses to play, come and be curious with me. This is your chance to explore, be playful and slightly silly, in fact it is entirely encouraged!
