This lecture will discuss audio communication among animals and the role and characteristics of sounds in animal communication, as well as the functions of vocalisations and songs in the animal kingdom. Alexei Turovsky’s motto is that there are no uninteresting animals.
Alexei Turovsky is a well-known Estonian zoologist, zoosemiotician and parasitologist who has made it his mission to share fascinating stories about animals with the world. He has given lectures at many Estonian universities, written dozens of books and thousands of articles, been the author of several radio and TV programmes and led countless tours.
