On December 9 at 7:00 PM in Almaty, there will be a lecture on "1917. How the liberals lost the revolution to the Bolsheviks" conducted by Andrey Aksenov, the author of podcasts "The Sunset of the Empire" and "Time and Money".

At the beginning of 1917, the Tsar abdicated and the state fell into the hands of the opposition. The Provisional Government included the most respected liberals with a crystal-clear reputation - but over the course of a year, this government was shaken by one crisis after another, and life in the country became increasingly worse. In the fall, power was taken from the Provisional Government by the radical populist party - the Bolsheviks led by Lenin, and all of Russia accepted the news of the change in power completely calmly. How did this happen?
