AKH! Arabic Komedy House opens its doors in Lisbon.

Stand-up Comedy in Arabic | 1st Edition

آخ! بيت الكوميديا العربية يفتح أبوابه في لشبونة في نسخته الأولى.

A night of stand-up comedy in Arabic: sharp jokes, loud laughs, and stories that hit different in Arabic.

AKH brings Arab comedians from across Europe to Lisbon for the first edition of Arabic Komedy House, Saturday, September 12, at Teatro Bocage.

Every ticket supports Lebanon & Sudan: 20% from Early Bird, Group and Regular tickets, €10 from every Contributor Ticket, and €25 from every Supporter Ticket. The earmarked funds are divided equally: 50% provides direct financial support to affected families in South Lebanon, distributed by BurtuQal, and 50% supports the humanitarian work of Casa del Sudán in Madrid connected to Sudan.

Meet the Lineup

Mustafa Jorry
Mustafa Jorry is a Sudanese artist and comedian based in Paris. Performing in Arabic, English and French, he explores questions of identity, culture and society through his sarcastic, witty and quick-paced comedy.

مصطفى جوري فنان وكوميديان سوداني عايش بباريس. بيقدّم بالعربي والإنجليزي والفرنسي، وبيطرح أسئلة عن الهوية والثقافة والمجتمع من خلال كوميديا ساخرة وذكية وسريعة الإيقاع.

Hassan Alfadul
Hassan Alfadul is a Sudanese comedian based in Madrid. Drawing on his experiences as a Black Muslim immigrant and an engineer in Europe, his comedy examines the differences between “us” and “them.” He has been performing in Spanish, English and Arabic for the past three years.

حسن الفضول كوميديان سوداني عايش في مدريد. بياخد من تجربته كمهاجر أسود ومسلم وكمهندس في أوروبا، وبيستخدم الكوميديا عشان يحكي عن الفرق بيننا وبينهم. من ثلاث سنين وهو بيقدّم عروض بالإسباني والإنجليزي والعربي

Jowana Khalil (she/they)

Jowana is a Lebanese comedian based in Paris who takes you through her therapy sessions and all the discoveries she’s making about family dynamics, identity, and… well, you’ll just see for yourself.

جوانا كوميديانة لبنانية عايشة بباريس، بتاخدكن معها بجلسات العلاج النفسي تبعها وكل الاكتشافات يلي عم توصلها ياها عن ديناميكية العيلة, الهوية و… و بلا ما انزيد حكي بتكتشفو سوا

Youness Badii
Youness Badii is a multilingual Moroccan comedian and expat finding his place in his new home in France. As seen on Don’t Tell Comedy, awk.word and comedy shows across Paris and Europe, his performances feature cultural shocks, entertaining stories and the occasional silly songs.

MC: Hilal Kassem

Hilal is a Lebanese comedian based in Lisbon. Before comedy, he worked as a psychologist. For this first edition of AKH!, he’ll be holding the microphone and keeping the night moving.
