Castle O'Er Woodland

How does what you see in a woodland change through a career in forestry?

Join Edward Kyrke, a local forester with experience spanning decades and sectors as wide as coppicing and heritage crafts, through to commercial forestry and mentoring and training. Edward will lead a small group through the Woodland describing what his forester instincts are telling him and giving an insight into the different stages of his career.

Venue: Castle O'er Woodland, near Eskdalemuir. Directions + info: https://forestryandland.gov.scot/visit/castle-oer.

The walk will start & finish in the car park. Setting off at 10am, returning before 12noon.

This event forms part of the Dumfries & Galloway Woodlands 2024 Summer Programme, funded thanks to support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. For more information about Dumfries & Galloway Woodlands (SCIO 052525), visit www.dgwoodlands.org.uk, and sign up to become a member!
