Kristjan Järvi will join the International Trumpet Days for the first time, conducting the Tallinn Brass Academy with internationally acclaimed trumpetists, the Grammy-winner Charlie Porter and the principal trumpet of the Spanish National Orchestra, Adán Delgado Illada!
The program includes the world premiere of work for brass ensemble and soloists by an Estonian composer, Timo Steiner, performed by soloists Neeme Ots and Toomas. Highlights of the concert include the beautiful 2nd movement of Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquin Rodrigo, arranged for brass ensemble and solo trumpet. Performed by Spanish trumpeter Adán Delgado, the tune brings us right from the icy Estonian Spring to the magnificent springtime gardens of the Palacio de Aranjuez near Madrid, Spain.
The program also includes works by an Estonian composer, Harri Otsa, Scherzo for trumpet sextett by the Swedish composer and trumpeter Stefan Johnsson, and various classical solo numbers by the world-renown American trumpeter Charlie Porter, who will also give a jazz concert on April 5th at 20 at the Philly Joe´s Tallinn.
