A fundraising event organised by the Kyrenia Nautical Club Masters Division. Swimmers can take part in any distance between 200m to 5km and can donate, or be sponsored to swim out in the open. All of the proceeds will go directly to 'Monadika Xamogela' in Cyprus, a charity that aims at the identification, advocacy, and safeguarding of the rights of children and individuals suffering from rare genetic diseases.
The dissemination of information and raising awareness among the public and all relevant governmental or other authorities, both domestic and international, regarding rare genetic diseases and their social implications.
The social and moral support and assistance of individuals with rare genetic diseases and their families through the Association, government services, and European support groups.
The establishment of the Association as a communication bridge between individuals with rare genetic syndromes and their families and the community, schools, specialized professionals and public health officials, private and public hospitals, and the relevant Government Departments, aiming for the swiftest possible resolution of the various challenges faced by individuals with rare genetic syndromes — including diagnosis, care, relief, therapeutic treatment, and integration into society.
