Independence Day 10th Charity Ball

On the eve of the independence day of Latvia, the traditional Charity Ball will be held in the Riga Latvian Society House.

This ball will be truly special because it will be held for the 10th time - one of the most beautiful and magnificent events held in Riga to celebrate the birthday of the Latvian state!

November 17th / 19:00 / RIGA LATVIAN SOCIETY HOUSE
This year, the event will be provided musically by the outstanding jazz orchestra "Mirage" led by conductor Lauris Amantovs, as well as other artists.

The program of the ball includes a traditional polonaise, dances, an auction of paintings donated by the best Latvian artists, a lottery of valuable prizes, as well as a sing-along led by conductor Arvīds Platpers in the RLB Golden Hall.

Dinner is available throughout the evening.

After midnight, a procession with flowers will take place at the Freedom Monument, so that the guests of the event can be the first to greet Latvia on its 105th birthday.

Dress code: long evening dress, tuxedo / dark suit
Bring dark red or white roses with you when you come to the event.
Flowers will be arranged in the colours of the Latvian flag, which we will put together at the Freedom Monument after midnight.

Entrance ticket price - 75 Euros

This year, we have decided to donate the collected funds from the auction of artworks and the lottery to the association ''Peldēt droši'' (Swim Safely) in order to help children and young people develop swimming skills and increase awareness of safe recreation on and near the water. In our opinion, this is very important because, for a long time, Latvia has ranked first in the number of drowned children and young people in Europe.

The event is organized by Rotary, Rotaract, Interact, Lions, Zontas, Round Table, Club 41, and others. It will be led by Māris Pīlācis!
