Saturday 7. May - Sunday 8. May 2022
Bibliothèque Cid Fraen an Gender • 14 rue Beck, L1222 Luxembourg, Luxembourg
Festrogen 2022 is the first female-centric comedy festival to be hosted in Luxembourg.
At the heart of the 3-day festival is this workshop by women for women comedians, no matter what their level of experience.
Participants may choose to attend one or both days. Please find details of the workshop content below.
7 May 14:00-17:30
Joke writing workshop and pack your punchlines tighter with Anshita Koul and Erin Crouch.
Joke writing 14:00-15:30
In the first part of the workshop, beginners can explore the basics of joke writing and create their first written jokes and people with some joke writing experience will build additional material or fine tune the old bits. Apart from joke writing, there will be an opportunity to learn new ways to generate fresh punchlines and how to time them well. This session will lay the foundation for an open mic at 17:30, perfect for crossing 'become a comedian' off your to-do list. Experienced comedians wanting to develop new material are also welcome to attend this part of the workshop.
Pack your punchlines tighter! 15:30-17:00
Now that you have jokes, in the second half of the Saturday workshop you will learn to make them tighter and funnier for more laughs. This part of the workshop is suitable for anyone who already has written material.

From stage fright to voice awareness, timing to text work – this workshop will have your brain sweating as much as your body!
