Tuesday Trivia: Fundraiser for Australian Wildlife

Australian is facing its worst season of bush fires in modern times. Record-breaking temperatures and months of severe drought have fuelled a series of massive bushfires across the country. Twenty eight people have been killed - including three volunteer firefighters - and about 60,000 sq km of land, including bush, forest and parks, has been burned. (To put this into perspective, this land area is significantly bigger than Estonia at 45,000 sq km. It’s in fact nearly the total size of Latvia.) It is estimated that over half a billion animals have perished with some species close to extinction, and over 1300 homes or farms destroyed.

Join us at Heldeke for our trivia night fundraiser to raise awareness about the effects of the fires and to show support the wildlife suffering down under.
Tickets can be purchased at this link: www.heldeke.ee/tickets. You can choose to pay 10 € or 20 €. A big thanks to Fienta for supporting the event by lowering their ticketing fee to only 1.8% of total ticket revenue!

All Proceeds from tickets will be donated to the NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc. (WIRES) Emergency Fund for the Australian bushfires. There is no differentiation between ticket prices other than the amount that will be donated to the cause. Please show your ticket on the night as proof of purchase.

For the trivia competition, teams can be one to four people. We will use a game app to play. Some questions will be Australian-themed. There will be fantastic Aussie-themed and other prizes to be won.

Plus, 2 € will be donated to the wildlife fund from every Bundaberg ginger drink sold on the night.
