Panel Discussion - Trans Lives – Realities, Resistance & Joy

Tirsdag 10. juni klokken 19:00 - 21:00

Mashti Community, Oslo

On June 10th, we are exploring trans identity and the politics of care.

In this panel talk, psychologist and sexologist Paulina invites two trans women to share their lived experiences, raw, honest, and full of depth. Together, they’ll discuss the complexities of growing into their identities, navigating transitions, and surviving systems that often fail to understand them.

You’ll hear powerful reflections on:

  • When they first knew they were trans

  • What their coming-out journeys looked like

  • The kinds of support they received (or didn’t)

  • What they wish politicians would actually focus on

  • How seemingly small comments or behavior can cause harm, and how to do better

  • Why open conversations like this matter

Guests

Frida Marida is a trans woman performing artist. She started as a drag performer when she was still living as a man, until she chose to become the alter ego she had created in drag, and live full time as her real self.

Natalie started her transition formally 3 years ago. As she was growing up she experienced the constant struggle and resistance of trying to live in a prescribed gender that never made sense to her, she felt alienated and wanted to distance herself but the small rural society she grew up in had no tolerance for it. So she forced it down in order to avoid conflict and that caused a lot of anxiety and stress. The transition process let her free and even though she is still on that journey and face oppression every day - it is a journey of happiness, meaning and love - to her.

Both guests are currently undergoing medical transition. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to support their journeys. There’s also an option to contribute more through an additional donation, if you feel called to. By attending, you’re not only witnessing a powerful conversation, you’re directly contributing to real, meaningful care.

Host

Paulina, founder of Pl3asur3Nights and co-host of Mashti Talks, brings a fierce, feminist lens, questioning the systems that claim to be inclusive while excluding so many. Inspired by Foucault and queer theory, she keeps it sharp, grounded and real.

This talk is part of the “Your Body, Their Rules?” series, provocative conversations unpacking how power, politics, and control shape our most intimate realities. We explore who gets to desire, who gets punished for it, and who decides what freedom means when it comes to our bodies and identities.

Come listen. Come learn. Come feel.

Please note: This discussion will be audio recorded for publishing on our podcast.
