RAYA 002: Clubnight

Raya Recordings returns with RAYA 002, the second edition of our ongoing series of club nights. RAYA 002 will take place on the dance floors of PALACE on the 6th of May, 2022 (20:00 - 05:00), bringing along with it new sounds and experiences unbeknownst to the location prior to our take over.

In true Raya nature, each clubnight focuses on celebrating a certain sound and energy. For RAYA 002, we will be focusing on hard dance and ethereal sounds, accented by hyper pop elements and post-club textures.

Performances prepared by both local familiar faces and out-of-town selectors.

Through our events, we not only intend to bring new and progressive sounds to our beloved city, but we also want our parties to be spaces of pure emotion and expression, free of judgment and bias.

We have, therefore, invited the Groningen Feminist Network (GFN) once again to host an interactive workshop and discussion panel on safe(r) clubbing on the day of the event (20:00 - 22:00) prior to the clubnight. Attendance to the workshop is free with a max capacity of 50. Once reached, individuals who are still interested will be automatically added to our waiting list and will be informed a day prior to the event in case of freed space.

We want this concept to go beyond simply organizing an event with good bookings and production. We want to raise awareness within our community and beyond, that dance floors are not only spaces of pure hedonism but also political spaces we have to nurture and maintain in order for them to be a home for everyone.

SPECIAL NOTE:
Ticket shop will only be open until 22:00 on the day of the event, afterwards it will only be door sale at PALACE for EUR 15.50

NOTE:
a) To maintain our community, you will be briefed about our ethics when entering location. If you breach our ethics during our event, you will be removed immediately. Read about our ethics here: bit.ly/raya-ethics
b) Entrance to the workshop comes free with the purchase of a ticket.
c) Attendance at the workshop is only possible with a ticket.
d) A portion of our ticket sales will proceed to the GFN.
e) The event is 18+
f) No test nor QR code necessary for entrance, but a self-test is heavily advised

EVENT TIMES:
a) GFN-led workshop: 20:00 - 22:00
b) Clubnight: 22:00 - 05:00

DOOR TIMES:
a) The GFN-led workshop opens at 19:30 and closes at 20:00 to maintain its intended goal.
b) Doors will reopen again at 22:00 for the club night and close at 1:00.
