PERNILLE HAALAND: WORK IN PROGRESS
Tirsdag 14. april klokken 18:30 - 19:30
Camden Comedy Club, London
Join award-winning comedian Pernille Haaland as she tries out brand-new jokes for her upcoming Edinburgh Fringe show.
The show explores what it means to become an adult, look back at your life, and realise it includes failing as a screenwriter in Norway, performing stand-up for NATO, and trying to reconnect with your Nordic roots while your idea of “home” keeps slipping away.
It’s also a tribute to her Norwegian grandad, her Nordic heritage, and the strange feeling of honouring where you come from while never quite belonging anywhere.
In the age of war, Pernille is fully armed with reproductive rights, confronting far-right ideas about what women should be, and proving — repeatedly — that she is not docile, not decorative. She will never knit.
A funny, thoughtful, occasionally furious work-in-progress about identity, failure, politics, and becoming yourself by accident. Turning all of it into jokes before it turns into despair.
