Be prepared to dive into the depth of what is holding you back. No more avoidance. Together, we transform the awkwardness holding you back, into joy, silliness, play and “way to go me”.
The intention of this gathering is that at least some of you walk out of this workshop with a new mindset, one that gives you a kick of joy every time you lean into awkwardness.
Behind our awkwardness (shame) hides our biggest joy, our hell yes’es, our “I really want to get to know that person, get that job, to do and say x,z,y”...
Our discomfort with awkwardness is like a sticky glue keeping us stuck looking at what we want, instead of going after it. Awkwardness keeps us from trying new things, or practicing and getting really good at something - because we fear the bodily discomfort created when feelings of fear arise because someone may observe us and judge what we do as “not good enough”.
Practicing requires “looking stupid and not managing perfectly” and to many, that doesn't feel safe (to their inner children/ nervous system). When we don't feel safe we protect ourselves with silence, jokes, discussions or running away (freeze, fawn, fight, flight) to avoid the vulnerability of awkwardness.
Which is really hiding who we truly are, what we truly care about, that we care and want. An armour of fear of getting in trouble, of rejection and criticism.
