Sensual Shibari // Workshop Friday // with Molly Lindau

Welcome to a full weekend of Sensual Shibari, the art of tying and being tied.

CLASSES:
We will offer two different workshops, one teaser and one in-depth weekend course:

• FRIDAY: A four-hour ”first taste” and beautiful experience of Shibari.
• SATURDAY-SUNDAY: A full weekend course where you have the chance to learn and experience the ropes more in-depth.

The classes are on a beginner's level that will give a fantastic introduction to Shibari, inspired by Japanese and Western rope bondage and tantra, with sensuality as the most distinguishing approach. You can sign up alone because during the class we will switch partners and get to practice both roles of tying and being tied.

Shibari does not only bring curiosity and pleasure of sensation, but also embodiment, presence, and power of initiative as well as the choice to let go of control, which are deeply valuable skills in relationship to others and to life.

MORE INFO ABOUT FRIDAY WORKSHOP:
An introduction where you will learn the most basic technique and simple tying patterns, but most of all focus on how to use the ropes as a tool to create beautiful meetings and sensations.

ABOUT MOLLY:
Molly S Lindau is a Swedish artist and workshop leader exploring sexuality, emotional health and growth through classes, studies and artistic work. She has a background in the fine arts and is an educated social worker, focusing on family relationships. This meeting between creativity and therapeutic work describes the red thread of her life.

Her passion for ropes comes from a deep love of embodiment. To dive into the skin, the senses, the uncompromising presence of life as it unfolds. She sees the rope as a way of practicing two fundamental principles of life; to act and surrender, and her interest in teaching comes from seeing people cultivate the change and inner power that comes with balancing and mastering these qualities.

Her way of tying is inspired by contact improvisational dance, massage, meditation, energetic body work and bdsm, with her heartfelt worship for the model and her dance-like and playful physicality as the most distinctive trait.
