This event is open to men and non-binary people only
In this group discussion, we explore how men can cultivate emotional presence and vulnerability, and what it means to live as an integrated man, in our relationships, work, sexuality, and inner lives.
This evening is an invitation to slow down, let our guards down, and explore together what it means to be a man today, to be whole, connected, and integrated in today’s society.
We live in a time where many men feel pulled between old societal expectations of the «strong providing self reliant stoic» man with a clear role, and the new societal expectations where the role of the man is more unclear.
This has left many men and young boys struggling in many areas of modern society; In academia, the workplace, relationships and also with themselves psychologically. Men are statistically more likely to commit suicide, engage in high risk behaviors, suffer for substance abuse disorders and depression, act violently and end up in prison compared to women.
To move toward an connected integrated wholeness, of accepting all the parts inside
ourselves, we are in this group discussion honestly exploring, in small groups and a big group at which ideals and expectations we live by, ideas of strength, success, and self-reliance, and exploring what must be released so that we can become safe and emotionally integrated men.
